SURVEY - 429 PARTICIPANTS
We noted that:
40% ABBANKers donβt know about online overdraft loan
Employees are mostly interested in fast loan disbursement process, and competitive interest rate
INTERVIEW - 15 PARTICIPANTS
We interviewed 15 ABBANKers and found that the employees want control over their lending journeys and habits regarding to overdraft loan.

π‘ The core insight is that digital banking still falls short of delivering true convenience and confidenceβusers lack realβtime visibility and guidance, making online services feel less valuable and driving them back to branch visits.
AFFINITY MAPPING
To consolidate findings, we conducted an affinity map to steer in a specific problem space. We focused on drawing out salient employees habits and bucketing insights into different topics to see areas they want help with.

A Shift in Mindset: Designing Beyond the Screen
Learning to think and design within a product ecosystem was a whole mindset shift ππ‘. On past projects, I mostly focused on solving one user problem at a time β but in a bigger system, every decision touches other teams, features, and even business goals. This time, I had to zoom out and ask: does this add value not just for the user, but for the product as a whole? Is it feasible? Is it aligned? Working with all roles from Senior Product Designers to Business Analysts and Product Owners from ABBANK also pushed us to match visual consistency and elevate our designs to feel like they truly belonged
Designing everyday banking journey for bankers has its own challenges
Designing the overdraft loan journey for bankers came with its own set of hurdles πΌπ³. Itβs not just about giving employees access to extra funds β itβs about making sure bankers can manage those requests quickly, accurately, and confidently, all within their already-packed workflow π§ β‘. We had to think about everything from risk flags and approval steps to making the experience feel smooth, not overwhelming. Honestly, the small stuff β like how info is displayed or when alerts pop up β made a huge difference
